The African Union Permanent Mission to the United States in partnership with AfriCatalyst hosted a high-level dialogue under the theme “Advancing Africa’s Economic Transformation through Africa–U.S. Private Sector Partnerships.” The event, which took place on the sidelines of the IMF–World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C..

This dialogue brought together senior policymakers, private sector leaders, and development finance institutions to discuss how stronger Africa–U.S. partnerships can help mobilize investment and support Africa’s long-term economic transformation. As global supply chains evolve and demand grows for critical minerals, energy infrastructure, and digital connectivity, the discussion explored how Africa can position itself as a strategic investment destination while advancing continental development priorities.
