Tackling Africa’s debt crisis, a conversation with Aljazeera

As of 2022, more than half of the low-income countries in sub-Saharan Africa were in debt distress according to the IMF, hindering investment in infrastructure, health, climate adaptation and essential public services to millions of people.

The UN has called for the reform of the global financial system during the G77 summit in Uganda, last month. Our CEO Daouda Sembene joined Adrian Finighan on #CountingTheCost to discuss the continent’s debt and how organisations like the G77 can offer meaningful solutions to these challenges.
